Our main objective is to serve the life science research community with a topnotch research and development group to meet the data analysis needs of genomics and proteomics investigators. Within our corporate structure is a strong R&D department composed by highly qualified personnel. This commitment reflects our dedication to excellence in R&D activities and forms the basis of our competitiveness.

Scientific and technical Innovation is our main engine to achieve our objectives. Our R&D department goes beyond the state of the art in providing science to our solutions. We focus on the most popular and scientific relevant data analysis methodologies to solve our client’s problems in handling high-throughput data from Omics technologies. Integrating different technologies and methodologies is one of our pillars where we based our innovation. At the same time our Technical department dedicates lots of efforts in translating this science into easy to use pieces of software providing innovation in the development of visual analytics and big data set handling that properly combined with state of the art algorithms has produced high-impact solutions to the industry.

Participation in international R&D collaborative projects has helped us establish and nurture strategic alliances with top research institutions. This has given us firsthand knowledge of data analysis workflow challenges and problems encountered in academic, biotech and pharma disciplines. We are uniquely positioned as an innovator and technology leader capable of providing solutions for expert data management and analysis.   • Mr.SymBioMath is a cooperation initiative funded by the VII Framework Program of EU (MarieCurie action) were the coordinator is the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Information Technology of the University of Malaga-UMA (Spain) and the partners are the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre in Munich-LRZ (Germany), the Johannes Kepler University of Linz-JKU (Austria), RISC Software (Austria) and Carlos Haya Hospital (Spain).

    Mr.SymBioMath aims to provide solutions to optimise the analysis and management of  big-data in Genomics Research. Integromics participates in the design and comercialization of applications for  the analysis of the interconnected huge genomic datasets in this project. The applications will be compatible with both computer and tablets-smartphones

  • It is a public-private collaborative Project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness through the INNPACTO program. Integromics collaborates with Celgene Institute for Translational Research Europe (CITRE) and the Centre of Studies and Technical Research (CEIT). Sanscript aims to develop new data analysis methods applied in clinical genomics studies. These methods include algorithms and statistical tools to identify alternative splicing events significantly related with disease associated biomarkers or therapeutic targets using RNA sequencing (RNA-seq). These new tools will be specifically applied to the identification of efficient solutions for therapy resistance in Multiple Myeloma.

  • It is a public-private collaborative Project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness through the INNPACTO program and by the European Fund for Regional DevelopmentIntegromics collaborates with the Galician foundation of Genomics Medicine. ApliClinics’ aims to develop tools for high throughput data analysis in the field of clinical genomics, to overcome the actual limitations, both at the experimental and bioinformatics levels, confronted by the clinical laboratories that aim to use Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology.

  • Maxpro is a collaborative Project funded by the Community of Madrid and by the European Fund for Regional Development were Integromics collaborates with Center of Molecular Biology (CBM-CSIC) . Maxpro aims to develop scientific methodology for statistical validation and quality control of protein identification by proteomics experiments and  for data analysis ofquantitative proteomics experiments. The methodology will be implemented in ’OmicsHub-Proteomics’, a computerized proteomicslaboratory information management system (LIMS) from Integromics.

  • The PROACTIVE project aims to develop a high throughput multiplexed protein detection technology for blood-based biomarkers, using a custom-designed collaborative Web-LIMS with integrated algorithms and exclusive scientific visualizations produced by Integromics.

    It is a cooperation initiative funded by the VII Framework Program of EU were the partners are Olink AB (Sweden), Innova Biosciences (UK), Uppsala University Hospital (Sweden), University of Copenhagen (Denmark), Fujirebio Diagnostics AB (Sweden) and Integromics (Spain). Proactive´s major aim is to develop a validated and fully operational high throughput technology to detect large sets of putative cancer protein-biomarkers in human blood samples, the development of data management and analysis software tools and the validation of the detection technology using patient samples with and without colorectal cancer. Integromics’ major contribution is the development of software tools for data analysis and management.

  • The RESOLVE project is intended to provide researchers and clinicians with data on genes involved in ageing, wound healing and fibrosis, and relies on Integromics solutions for collaborative Web-LIMS custom design and implementation, and advanced bioinformatics data mining.

    It is a cooperation initiative funded by the VII Framework Program of EU were some of the partners are, Medical University of Vienna (Austria), University of Verona (Italy), Biotalentum Ltd (Hungary), National Center of Biotechnology (Spain), Bristol University (UK), Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) y el Technological Institute of Austria (Austria). Resolve’s major objective is to identify and characterize validated molecular targets capable of shifting primary organ repair towards fibroproliferative wound healing (major pathology) as a result of an age-dependent loss of regulatory control capacities.

    Integromics’ major contribution is the development of the bioinformatics platform for the project results and the functional bioinformatics analysis of putative molecular targets.

  • LipidomicNet is a project aimed at creating a knowledge base for the study of lipids using proteomics, microarrays and qPCR technologies.

    It is a cooperation initiative funded by the VII Framework Program of EU, in close collaboration withLIPID MAPS and Lipid Bank – Japan, were some of the partners are Regensburg University (Germany), Utrecht University (Holland), Bonn University (Germany), París University (France), Max-Planck Institute (Germany), European Bioinformatics Institute (UK), Biobase Gmbh (Germany). LipidomicsNet’s major aim is to establish high-throughput methods to define drugable targets and novel biomarkers related to lipid and protein species of lipid droplets (involved in energy overload diseases), their interactions and regulation mechanisms. Integromics’ major contribution is the development of Integromics’ custom LipiMiner for qPCR data analysis and data integration that consists in a Wiki formatted bioinformatics platform that will be integrated in existing lipidomics’ platforms.

  • ProteomeXchange is a cooperation initiative funded by the VII Framework Program of EU (coordination and support action) were the coordinator is the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) (UK) and the partners are the University of Liverpool (UK), VIB (Belgium), ETH (Zurich), ISB (USA), University of Michigan (USA), RUB (Germany), SIB (Switzerland), GeneBio (Switzerland), Wiley-VCH (Germany) and CSIC (Spain). ProteomeXchange aims to develop and implement standards for proteomics data representation, management and exchange between the major proteomics data repositories. Integromics participates contributing to the standards definition and by implementing the new proteomics standards in OmicsHub®, its commercial proteomics data management system.

  • The goal of the project is to develop an integrated environment for the analysis of high content screening data with the RealTime StatMiner® bioinformatics software for RT-qPCR validation.

    It is a cooperation initiative promoted by the EraNet EuroTransBio and funded by each partner national/regional bodies. Integromics as coordinator collaborates in this project with CENIX BioScience. IRIS project aims at developing an integrated analysis environment for high throughput analysis of gene expression data and the associated phenotype coming from high-throughput interference RNA (RNAi) experiments. This type of analysis is essential for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry for the discovery of novel therapeutic targets.

  • AMIT is a public-private collaborative Project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness through the CENIT program and by the European Fund for Regional Developmentwere are participation several enterprises and public centers with high relevance in the national and international spheres. AMIT’s aims to develop new technology to improve the current molecular imaging techniques in medicine and biomedicine. Integromics’ main contribution is the implementation of bioinformatic tools for the analysis and management of the molecular information associated to the bio/medical images.

  • INNCORPORA projects are funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness and by the European Fund for Regional Development through the INNCORPORA program that aims to promote the recruitment and strengthen the training of technologists in the business sector.

    Resequencing data analysis obtained by ultra-sequencing techniques, and interpretation in a clinical context

    The main objective of this project is to create a workflow for the bioinformatic analysis and interpretation of DNA-resequencing data. The workflow analysis will identify, characterize and interpret genetic variants and will follow a clinical approach, specific to patient and pathology. Special focus will be given to the detection of rare genetic variants and its application in a clinical setting.

    Quantitative and directed proteomics bioinformatics in the era of the Human Proteome Project

    The main objective poses acquire innovative skills associated with quantitative proteomics techniques, including newest targeted proteomics techniques used worldwide (for example in the Human Proteome Project, HPP). We will identify and address current needs in quantitative proteomics bioinformatics to develop new tools, methods and knowledge that allow for the analysis of proteomic data.
