RealTime StatMiner® 4.0 features the latest Click and Go™ technology and eliminates the 10-plate limitation
The new version introduces the option to preconfigure Automatic Quality Controls enabling the user to track logged activity as well as to be alerted while proceeding with the data analysis. RealTime StatMiner® 4 is compatible with all Applied Biosystems® qPCR instruments and now can import and process both Ct values as well as amplification curve data.
Madrid, Spain –November 14, 2009 – Integromics S.L, the software solution provider for the top Life Technologies companies and non-profit institutions, today announced the release of RealTime StatMiner® 4 with the novel technology Click and Go™.
“RealTime StatMiner® has been used by the qPCR community to get novel insights into their data, assess the quality of their project and easily create a full report of the results” says Dr. Alexandra Vamvakidou, Data Analysis Product Manager of Integromics. “This latest version is more powerful and easier to use than ever.”
RealTime StatMiner® 4 newest functionalities include:
Automatic Report Generation with Click and Go™
Simplify the analysis of a whole project in a single click. The Click and Go™ technology runs under RealTime StatMiner® 4 to make possible a complete automation of the analysis process. The Click and Go™ button can be configured to automatically review the quality of the data and produce a report.
Automatic Quality Control (AQC) Alerts to Detect Outliers
The exclusive quality controls are now fully automated. Automatic Quality Controls are able to detect outliers in technical replicates, biological replicates with poor correlation or endogenous controls that are not optimal for normalization. This version of the software allows the user to manually discard wells from the project.
Project Panel to Display Summary of Results
To summarize the information of the Quality Controls, RealTime StatMiner® features a new Project Panel that will always be visible in the right hand side of the screen to report Activity messages (log analysis parameters) and Exceptions messages (warnings related to the data). Any activity in the analysis is tracked and any abnormal signal will now be logged.
Analysis Configuration Menu
Several options of the analysis workflow can be pre-configured from a general “Options” menu. In the previous versions, each analysis step could be configured from the corresponding section of the workflow only. Now, several steps of the analysis can be configured and stored even before the execution of the workflow.
Amplification Curve Reader
Curve Reader. Big projects are no longer painful since now Real Time StatMiner® can assess the Ct values of more than 10 plates in a single run. To give the user an alternative to the SDS RQ Manager software (in order to unlock the current 10 plate limitation) the software computes now for each well the Crossing point (that is equivalent to Ct) from the amplification curve produced by SDS using the method of Zhao et al. J. Comp. Biol. 2005.
Enhancements to the User Interface
Some steps of RealTime StatMiner® have been reviewed and simplified (adding more help links), specially the data import and report generation (that now includes Microsoft Excel reports). More importantly we have integrated a new user interface that is able to run the analysis in a single step. Therefore the user has now two options when running the projects: Advanced interface and Easy interface.
New Visualizations and Variability Measurements
RealTime StatMiner® adds new results to the qPCR gene expression analysis. In the relative qualification step we calculate the volcano plot, a new visualization (scattered plot) available when comparing two groups of samples. The volcano plot shows for every gene the “Fold Change” (x-axis) versus the “p-value” in –log scale (y-axis). In the “Inspect Delta Ct values” the ?Ct values are represented with the error bars to compare the variability of the measurement of every detector.
This is a complete solution that offers analysis tools and an expert team of support to serve the qPCR community. RealTime StatMiner® was the first solution to introduce a genuine workflow analysis guide for RT-qPCR, which simplifies the experiment processes and dramatically speeds up the delivery of results.
