TIBCO Spotfire and Integromics Partner on Development of Genomics Platform for Province of Andalusia
Spanish and Andalusia Government build infrastructure, education and awareness for Life Sciences in Southern Spain.
SOMERVILLE, Mass., - February 19, 2008 – Spotfire, a division of TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX), today announced that the company is joining forces for the development of a genomics platform for the Region of Andalusia in Spain. Integromics, a provider of state-of-the-art software solutions for data management and data analysis in Genomics, Proteomics and Drug Discovery, has been selected to create the platform, which is funded by the Governments of Spain and Andalusia, in efforts to build support for Life Science practices throughout southern Spain. The University of Malaga and the University of Córdoba will be responsible for the coordination of the platform.
