New class of gene-termini-associated human RNAs suggests a novel RNA copying mechanism.
Small (<200 nucleotide) RNA (sRNA) profiling of human cells using various technologies demonstrates unexpected complexity of sRNAs with hundreds of thousands of sRNA species present.
Comprehensive Polyadenylation Site Maps in Yeast and Human Reveal Pervasive Alternative Polyadenylation.
The emerging discoveries on the link between polyadenylation and disease states underline the need to fully characterize genome-wide polyadenylation states. Here, we report comprehensive maps of global polyadenylation events in human and yeast generated using refinements to the Direct RNA Sequencing technology.
Multiplexed Homogeneous Proximity Ligation Assays for High-throughput Protein Biomarker Research in Serological Material.
A high throughput protein biomarker discovery tool has been developed based on multiplexed proximity ligation assays (PLA) in a homogeneous format in the sense of no washing steps.
Functional and systems biology approaches to Huntington's disease.
Huntington’s disease (HD) is a hereditary, progressively degenerative and fatal brain disorder classified as a rare, or ‘orphan’, disease. HD is caused by the extension of trinucleotide repeats encoding a stretch of glutamine residues at the amino-terminal end of the large huntingtin (HTT) protein. Since the discovery of the mutated HTT gene in 1993, the mechanisms by which the mutant HTT protein induces neurodegeneration remain poorly understood and no disease-modifying therapy is currently available.
OmicsHub Proteomics Software Tool.
OmicsHub Proteomics integrates in one single platform all the steps of a Mass Spectrometry Experiment reducing time and data management complexity. The proteomics data automation and data management/analysis provided by OmicsHub Proteomics solves the typical problems your lab members find on a daily basis and makes life easier when performing tasks such as multiple search engine support, pathways integration or custom report generation for external customers.
Data Management, Analysis, Standardization and Reproducibility in a ProteoRed Multicentric Quantitative Proteomics Study with the OmicsHub Proteomics Software Tool.
The ProteoRed multicentric experiment was designed to test each laboratory abilities to perform quantitative proteomic analysis, compare methodologies and inter-lab reproducibility for relative quantitative analysis of proteomes and to evaluate data reporting and data sharing tools (MIAPE documents, standard formats, public repositories).
Integrated analysis of gene expression by association rules discovery.
Microarray technology is generating huge amounts of data about the expression level of thousands of genes, or even whole genomes, across different experimental conditions. To extract biological knowledge, and to fully understand such datasets, it is essential to include external biological information about genes and gene products to the analysis of expression data. However, most of the current approaches to analyze microarray datasets are mainly focused on the analysis of experimental data, and external biological information is incorporated as a posterior process.
GENECODIS: a web-based tool for finding significant concurrent annotations in gene lists.
We present GENECODIS, a web-based tool that integrates different sources of information to search for annotations that frequently co-occur in a set of genes and rank them by statistical significance.
