Master in Theoretical Physics by the University of Granada and PhD in Molecular Biology by the University Autonoma of Madrid. Currently he heads the Biocomputimg Unit of the National Center for Biotechnology CNB-CSIC, one of the nodes of the Spanish Institute of Bioinformatics as well as the Instruct Image Processing Center I2PC. He has or is Coordinating a number of European Union, US, National and Regional projects, and is the author of close to 200 publications in leading journals. In management duties, he scientifically directed the Spanish National Center for Biotechnology as well as he was Deputy Director General for Research Planning and Monitoring for the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology. |

Alberto Pascual PhD |

As a computer science engineer who holds a PhD in Bioinformatics, he has been involved in biomedical engineering for more than 20 years, has been an associate professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, and currently holds a tenure track position at the Spanish Research Council’s National Center for Biotechnology. |

Vicente Rodríguez Carro PhD |

Dr Carro studied Philosophy and Economics in Madrid and Münster, and holds a PhD in the Theory of State and Society. He has held positions as a professor at the Free University of Berlin and a civil servant in the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Trade. For the last 20 years, he has focused on foreign trade and Information Technology and Communications. |
